Abeed ibn Al-Abras

Abeed ibn Al-Abras was the poet and public speaker of Bani Asad . 
Much of his poetry was lost . 
The part of his poetry that reached us testifies to his mastery and high standing as a poet . 
Although he was poor, he was a generous and noble man . 
He was known for his shrewdness and wisdom . 
He witnessed the murder of the king of Kinda, Hujr, Imru' ul-Qais' father . 
He was indulged in a satirical exchange with Imru' ul-Qais . 
He came to the court of Al-Mundhir ibn Ma' Al-Sama . 
The king had a day of evil in which he would kill the first comer to his court . 
Abeed happened to arrive at the court on that evil day, so the king ordered him dead . 
Abeed chose to be given wine and then to have his vein cut, so he bled to death in c .
